Crabtree is proud of its heritage and so is its team – many of whom have worked in the industry for decades. This provides a deep source of specialist knowledge and expertise.
Stephen McDowell, Managing Director
Stephen joined the Company in 1978 and occupied a number of accountancy based roles before becoming its majority shareholder and Managing Director in 2003. He has extensive experience of the world wide metal decorating industry and is personally committed to providing customers with the highest quality products and services.
Alan Rutter, Senior Director
Alan was initially employed as a technical trainee in 2000. After learning his trade and then applying these skills within the manufacturing department for a number of years, he moved into our business development team. Alan was promoted to Senior Director to spearhead product innovation and drive growth by utilising his considerable hands on experience and knowledge to assist customers in providing bespoke solutions to their business needs.
Keith Fannon, Director of Sales, UK and Europe
Keith has almost 25 years’ service with Crabtree. During this time he has progressed from the role of production fitter through to his current role which he took up in 2017. His extensive industry experience and product knowledge stems from his production background and his time spent as a service engineer through to managing the company’s Service and Assembly Departments.
Paul Curry, Director of Sales, Middle East and Africa
Paul joined Crabtree’s Spares Department in 1993. Since then he has undertaken a number of roles which have allowed him to accumulate significant industry knowledge and experience. These qualities were recognised by the company during 2017 when Paul was promoted to his current Director role, in which he serves a large portfolio of worldwide customers.
Garry Oughton, Spares Sales Executive, North and South America
Garry has been an employee for over 26 years and has held positions in sales, servicing and manufacturing. Having lived in South America for the last two decades he has in-depth knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and requirements of the metal decorating industry in the region.

Crabtree is committed to providing customers with specialist technical knowledge and support. We do this by employing a workforce that has decades of industry experience and who can transfer this knowledge to the next generation of engineers.
